Contemporary appeal, youthful style. Geometries that are clean cut but never severe. These features form the basis of the new Just Cavalli Eyewear autumn/winter 2010 collection: a range of 14 new eyeglasses frames designed predominantly for young women - for whom there are 8 models - but which also has space for 4 unisex models and 2 men’s models.
The women’s models are distinctive for the prevalence of metal frames: the JC276 and JC277 models stand out for both having an arm in moulded metal depicting a stirrup motif. The front of the frames are highly distinctive, meanwhile, coming in the nylor version in the JC276 and rounded in the JC277.
Metal is combined with plastic in the JC278 and JC279 models, resulting in two frames that are minimalist in form, yet dynamic and suited to a young and glamorous consumer thanks to the colour variations chosen to adorn the arms.
The metals range is complete with the JC283 model, which catches the eye for combining a metal front with rubber injected arms, a material that makes the product very pleasant to the touch.
Consumers that love acetate frames, meanwhile, can choose from the JC285 model, whose squared front is softened by slightly rounded features, and the JC286, which has arms decorated by a little plaque with a hole in the centre, on which the Just Cavalli logo is laser engraved.
The unisex JC284 and JC287 models satisfy the tastes of both men and women, their neutral shapes and colours comfortably adapting to the faces of both consumers. An original location for the plaque-logo on the JC287 model, which is attached to the upper part of the arm, whilst the sides of the arms are traversed by incisions decorated in contrasting colours.
Members of the same family are the JC280 and JC281 models, designed as unisex frames even though the softer front of the JC280 makes it better suited to the female face than the more angular JC281. The arms stand out, decorated in eye-catching colours in both models.
The collection is complete with the two models for men: a mix of metal and plastic, the JC282 is the male version of the JC283, from which it borrows the rubberised arm effect. The JC288 meanwhile is entirely in acetate and stands out for the two-tone colouring of the inner and exterior surfaces, producing a profile that runs right along the frame.
The new Just Cavalli Eyewear range also has a little room for sunglasses, with 4 wraparound styles for the ladies. Acetate is again to the fore – at times combined with metal – in the JC272S, JC274S and JC275S models, where it comes with eye-catching melange effects, amplified by the presence of winding grooves that enliven the arms.
In the press kit:
JC282 col.009: sporty men’s glasses that stand out for the colour contrast between the lively yellow on the inside of the frames and the satinised grey on the outside. The smooth texture of the glasses is highly noteworthy, a result of the rubber material used on the arms.
JC287 col.092: the use of multilayer acetates makes these unisex frames particularly dynamic. One innovative detail is the logo-plaque, which is attached to the upper part of the arms rather than to its sides.
JC275S col.34F: wraparound, light, “exotic” frame, ideal for a woman that loves to broaden her horizons. The ethnic motifs that decorate the arms are produced with light incisions and decorated with contrasting colours.
